As another year draws to the end, let’s take a quick look at how ResAvenue, your online booking solution evolved in 2009.

Evolution 1: A Brand New ResAvenue Website

ResAvenue started 2009 on a great note with the launch of a new chic and user-friendly website. The previous website was comprehensive and informative but ResAvenue wanted to provide prospective and existing hoteliers with more. This new website was redesigned to make it easier for hoteliers to locate information with a simpler and more effective navigation system. It has a point style that provides the reader with all required information at a single glance. Its services have also been clearly classified and displayed, thus, making it effortless for you to locate and read information.

Evolution 2: A New M.A.R.S. Interface
ResAvenue introduced a new and improved ResAvenue M.A.R.S (Merchant Accounting and Reporting System) interface that makes managing inventory an enjoyable experience. The enhanced navigation system provides hoteliers with easy accessibility to different sections of their accounts and enables them to manage their property details, rates and allocations, reports and accounts effectively and effortlessly.

Evolution 3: Payment Options

One key and continuous activity at ResAvenue is the addition of payment options. The more payment options mean a wider market reach and easier visitor to guest conversions. When ResAvenue was launched in 2005, hoteliers could collect payment from a handful of credit card holders and net banking account holders. Today, ResAvenue offers a variety of Credit Cards, Net Banking, Cash Cards and Mobile Payments as payment options. This year, it has added to this already impressive list a new mode of payment ‘Debit Cards’. You can now collect payments from guests holding debit cards from any of the following 15+ debit cards -  Axis Bank, Barclays Bank, Canara Bank, Citi Bank, Corporation Bank, Cosmos Bank, Duetsche Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, ING Vysya, Karur Vysya Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Punjab National Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, State Bank Of India, Union Bank Of India & Yes Bank.

In addition to Debit Cards, ResAvenue has added more net banking options and now has 30+ Indian Banks including Axis Bank, Bank of Bahrain & Kuwait, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Corporation Bank, Citibank, City Union Bank, Deutsche Bank, Federal Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank, IDBI Bank, J & K Bank, Karnataka Bank, Karur Vysya Bank Limited, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Lakshmi Vilas Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Punjab National Bank, Punjab National Bank, The Bank of Rajasthan, Royal Bank of Scotland, South Indian Bank, State Bank Of India, State Bank of Indore, State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Travancore, Syndicate Bank, Union Bank Of India, Vijaya Bank and Yes Bank, as well as 20 Chinese Banks and 3 Singapore Banks.

Both these additions – debit cards and net banking, will further increase your market reach in the Indian sub-continent.

Evolution 4: PhonePay

ResAvenue has also launched PhonePay, an interactive voice response payment system that enables you to securely collect payments for bookings made via the telephone. With this new payment facility, a completely new segment of 400+ million potential guests who are not reachable via the internet opens up for you.

To conclude, 2009 despite market depression and fluctuations was a productive year, as ResAvenue evolved to provide you, its hoteliers with the best in terms of payment options and enhanced it solution with a new cutting-edge payment solution.
